The role of the One-Belt One-Road initiative in China?s exports and global value chains

Research background: China is regarded as the ?world factor? highly involved in international trade and plays an increasingly important role global value chains (GVC). Additionally, ?One-Belt One-Road? (OBOR) initiative was proposed by Chinese government to further promote market. Purpose of article: The article explores OBOR China?s exports chain. It aims at: 1) verifying how impacts volume China's export value-added its partners. 2) checking whether or not strengthens industrial connection between participants at GVC level. 3) examining different roles corridors GVC. Methods: empirical analysis based on augmented gravity model trade, which comprises 197 partners period 2000?2018. estimated for gross well measured domestic added contributed a partner exports.
